Sustainable gas tank and cover
|
|
Countries all over Europe are also looking for alternative types of energy. As a consequence, the number of biogas systems in Europe is growing considerably. Due to ever stricter environmental legislation and rising energy costs, a biogas system can be very advantageous. An innovative and modern system like this breaks down organic waste products from agriculture and industry without harming the environment. At the same time, the biogas that is released is converted into useful energy, so that the costs of investing in a biogas system can be recovered in just a few years.
Biogas silo The manure is stored in a silo. Wiefferink provides the silo with a cover and a ‘gas lung’. The gas lung creates a movable storage space for the biogas.
Gas cover Wiefferink has developed a flexible cover specially for biogas systems. This cover is gas-tight and fully complies with the regulations for the storage of gas. Wiefferink has also developed special manholes for this biogas system so that the internal process can be inspected at all times.

A biogas system extracts ‘green energy’ from manure, which can provide the owners of the system with enough energy for their own energy needs. They can then supply any surplus energy to the electricity network for a fee.

Wiefferink has made a contribution to hundreds of biogas systems in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark and Eastern Europe. The Wiefferink products consist of a gas tank and cover.
