The Wiefferink silo cover is made of heavy polyester textile with a synthetic coating material on both sides. The materials used are resistant to manure and other aggressive liquids. The Wiefferink silo cover can also endure the effects of extreme weather conditions for many years. Specifically, the method used to seal the Wiefferink silo cover ensures that external forces are absorbed by the walls of the silo. This system allows the silo to be re-tensioned and the manholes allow access to the silo.
The system limits odour nuisance and emissions of hazardous substances. Wiefferink has been awarded a KIWA suitability certificate for its silo cover, which means that the cover complies with all statutory requirements.
